Andrea, the mom, has decided to share the behind the scenes journey of going to 45 Jonas Brothers concerts driving 24,000 miles in 11 weeks.
Here are her words:
Many of you know about my journey of going to 78 Jonas Brothers concerts over a 2 1/2 year period with my teenage daughter, Hannah. During that time we also decided to sell our house, personal belongings and move from Maryland to California.
I have been working on a book called Open to Inspiration from the summer tour of 2008. It was almost finished until a friend suggested I add a few more pieces. I am continuing to work on that.
But, another project keeps nudging me. It is the summer of 2009, the summer I drove 24,000 miles in 11 weeks to go to 45 Jonas Brothers concerts. It was a summer trip that was driven by an inner calling. I have resisted writing this book in the same way I resisted the trip.  I had been thinking about laying  more of a foundation in the first book, until now.
Last week, I had the flash of an idea. Create an interactive E-book club. The members will be the first to see three books come into form this year and you will be a part of creating them. Here’s the thing. There is the story of the concerts. There is the story of the journey. And there is also an underlying story that relates to all generations. Women and men ages 15-105.
Last summer became a quest. The night we decided to sleep in the car, free hotels showed up. Our perspective on how to go to concerts had to shift when the contract on my house fell apart and 27 interested people fell away. We had to see this journey as being different even though we had traveled 10,000 miles the summer before.
Isn't this a reflection of what is going on in the world with structures falling apart? Jobs, education, government, banks, earthquakes, etc… I believe with my whole heart that we can all pull together and find new ways of consciously living on the earth right now. It is going to take all of the generations working together, shifting our thinking and our perspectives. The trip was an experience of being open to different things.
I have designed the club in a way that members will receive 10 chapters per month with reflective questions in the back of the book to reflect on their own inner journey. What is happening in your life that requires a shift in your perspective? How can you open to new priorities, new ideas, and change?
I invite you to enter into a space of adventure and self-discovery with me:
